How the giving works

Every gift follows the same short path back to a student, and the Foundation asks each recipient to keep it moving.

Graduating PCS seniors headed to college or the military apply for the named scholarships that fit them.

Committees match applicants to funds — for excellence in a subject, service, athletics, or simply being first in the family to attend college.

Every donor receives a personal thank-you note from the student they helped.

Recipients are invited to become Sandstoner donors themselves once they're able — the cycle the Foundation was built on.

Five promises to every donor

The principles the Foundation has held since its founding.

Students must apply for scholarships and awards.
Students must attend college or enter the military after high school.
All donations — which are usually tax-deductible — go to students in the form of scholarships and awards.
Each donor will receive a thank-you note from the awarded student.
Students who receive awards are encouraged to become future Sandstoner Foundation donors themselves.
